Last night Fight Michigan traveled to the border of Michigan and Canada to witness Xtreme Cagefighting Championship‘s Battle at the Border 6 featuring 5 preliminary fights, 17 USA vs. Canada fights, 1 Championship Qualifier bout, and 3 Championship Title matches.
Promoters Woodrow James and Matt Flynn were kind enough to allow us access to the locker rooms and the fighter’s meeting, where it was announced that in general, elbows would not be allowed, but that if both fighters agreed, elbows would be allowed.
It was an exciting night of non-stop action. If you get the chance to see an XCC show, you definitely should. This was one of our favorite shows to date. It was so good, we will probably watch it again when it becomes available online. Keep checking CageFightingLive.com, they should have it online soon.

Brandon caught Forrest in a triangle at the end of the first round, but time ran out. Early in the second round, Forrest gives Brandon a taste of his own medicine and gets the tap out. Definitely catch the video of this fight if you can.

In Bobbi Jo’s last fight, she broke both of her opponent’s arms. In Erika’s last fight, she went all three rounds with a former boxing champion, who barely won by split decision. These two women are truly amazing. Erika caught a high kick from Bobi Jo ON THE JAW, and didn’t even blink. That kick would have dropped most fighters (men included) to the mat, but Erika just kept fighting like nothing happened. This was one amazing fight. I can’t wait to see both of these women enter the cage again.
